Custom Materials Development

General Information

Thru numerous government, industry and internally funded research and development contracts, SM has studied and developed several different hosts and dopant ion combinations for basic research and niche applications, such as:

  • Reduction of thermally-induced depolarization
  • Radiation hardened Nd:YAG (UV and Gamma ray resistance to photo-darkening)
  • Emission wavelength tuning thru crystal composition adjustment
  • Basic research and spectroscopy

Below is list of some of the material host/dopant combinations previously studied. Please call us to discuss your material development needs, or for availability and pricing of currently stocked compositions and concentrations.
